We have had many projects ... but this is our newest song
A few weeks ago, Greg Payne came for a visit and had a song idea. He had the first verse. We worked for over two hours and couldn't get anywhere. We both worked on it and shared emails. We got back together and edited it down to what we liked. Ty Taylor and Dane cut the guitar and bass tracks for me and Dana and Darwin Nelson did the vocals. Norman Cupit had come over with his fiddle ... so we put it all on tracks. I produced the song, did the mix and played keyboards. The first cut came out to four and a half minutes. We liked it - but it was just too long. On Sunday June 13th, I edited it down to three minutes. Here is the final cut. I still have the longer version .... just in case anyone wants to do a longer version. I hope you like it. If you have a song that you want to work on, please call me and let's discuss it. - Daniel
More on the story ... So, many people have listened to our song and have shared with friends ... we like that. However, we have had mixed views. Isn't that always the way, everyone has an opinion ... that is good. Some think that we should tell more of the story through the song. Since I originally said that we had a Four and a Half Minute version ... some wanted to hear it ... so below in the new player are the three versions that we have produced.
